An analysis of the geodynamics of the eastern part of the Baltic shield in the last 3 billion years of its history, set against the background of supercontinental cyclicity, showed the territory was fully involved in two supercontinental cycles associated with the development of the Kenorland and Columbia supercontinents. During the rest of the cycles, the territory was part of larger continental fragments and was not directly involved in the creation and disintegration of supercontinents, experiencing an intraplate regime under the impact of mantle plume tectonics.
