Federal budget subsidies for upgrading instrument facilities are provided to leading scientific organizations within the "Science and Universities" national project.
As part of the document package for receiving the grant, Karelian Research Centre RAS prepared a program for updating the instrument facilities until 2024 and a substantiation of the need for instruments and equipment. The grant totals 56.8 million rubles. Equipment procurements are expected to take place in the second half of 2023.
The plan is to use the funds to purchase equipment for various fields of science: geology, archaeology, biology and medicine, agro-technology, water studies, and others. Instruments will be purchased for elemental analysis, sample preparation, biomedical, molecular genetic research, etc.
The newly purchased equipment will be integrated in the KarRC RAS Core Facility, a unit providing infrastructural support for implementation of priority programs and projects, including interdisciplinary ones.
