The study deals with the corporate culture in Nordic-owned (owner from Denmark, Norway, Sweden or Finland) factories in Russia. The paper portrays which features of the Nordic corporate culture are found in Russian factories with businessmen from Nordic countries, and whether they agree with the Russian (or even Soviet) organizational culture. The conclusion is drawn that the Nordic business culture, which comprises i.a. high involvement of employees, information and advice processes, employees' self-dependence, application of skills and expertise, decent salaries, is taking root in Russia. The system of protection of employees' rights and the possibility for them to participate in decision-making, which are typical of companies in Northern Europe, may prove helpful for business in Russia.
