An attempt is made to classify the data obtained with an emphasis on the integrated use and structural classification of Karelian industrial minerals. Optimum parameters of ore dressing and enrichment of useful minerals are estimated with regard for the geological and mineralogical characteristics of deposits and the technological indices of Karelian industrial minerals. A series of studies has been carried out to evaluate promising industrial minerals occurring in the Karelian part of the Fennoscandian Shield (garnet and muscovitic ore, quartz, new types of feldspathic rocks, e.g. anorthosites, etc). As a result, technological solutions were presented on a new level on the basis of a block diagram proposed for the technological and mineralogical study and multi-purpose application of industrial minerals.
