Currently popular researchers' practice of research results self-archiving in institutional repositories results in researchers' ability to modify text of their publications during a long time. In this case a research publication becomes a living document (or "liquid publication" [1]). In the article we analyze possible benefits of it for a research community and necessary technical conditions to get the benefits. We discuss technical solutions as development of the Socionet system.
