The problems of organization and implementation of the Strategy “Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Development” are rewired in this article. The decision of this task is the most important for the present-day society. The concept of sustainable development is based on the principle of “common consideration”.
UNESCO has for 30 years carried out excellent and vital work leading to the ideas of education for sustainable development, which consists from 3 directions – economical, social and environmental.
It is necessary to consider all level of the educational system from the children gardens up to the universities during the realization of the strategy.
The 2005–2014 Decade of Education for Sustainable Development suggests the active work of teachers at all levels, school and university heads, students, education ministers and other education politicians all around the world directed to the modification of the education systems with the purpose of new generation upbringing with the ability and will to create the sustainable development in our societies.
