The authors note that various ore types contribute differently to the formation of kyanite ore deposits. New results, obtained by analyzing an industrial sample of concretionary ore from the Novaya Shuururta deposit, are presented. Textural analysis of the samples has revealed four components of the ore: kyanite concretions, kyanitic paramorphs, mica-quartz substrate and mica-quartz veinlets.
Considering the sizes of the concretions and paramorphs, the recommended particle sizes of the ore to be preliminarily dressed are 45, 37, 25 and 20 mm. At such grinding, concretions and paramorphs may be opened.
