Водная среда и природно-территориальные комплексы: исследование, использование, охрана

The papers and abstracts in the proceedings dwell upon the results of research in several study areas: hydrology and mathematical modeling, hydrochemistry and hydrobiology, geoecology and geography, environmental education. In contrast to previous events of the series, the 4th School-Conference of Young Scientists reached beyond the regional scope of Northwest Russia; international participation has also expanded notably. This fact opens up the boundaries for young scientists, and enables us to more efficiently approach environmental issues through active, open and direct communication.
The form of the school with elements of master classes from highly qualified scientists and university professors creates the possibility to deal not only with scientific problems, but also with teaching methods and implementation, as well as with education for sustainable development at the regional and international levels.
The studies were carried out through fruitful collaboration between institutions of the Russian Academy of Science and higher educational institutions, as well as secondary schools, the main task being guiding the youth into professions in science and education.
