Gold content of the Timan, including trap basalts of the Upper Devonian, was briefly characterized. The morphological types of basalts with different technological features and with thin dispersion sulphide Au(?) -Co-Ni mineralization (Jarega deposit, the South Timan) and Au-Ag-Cu mineralization in the tuffolava D3 (the Middle Timan) were described. Presence of sulphide mineralization in thin dispersion form forced to turn attention to primary and secondary changed basalts and their tuff as potential ore-bearing rocks, including the gold. Comparison with the traps of the Yenisei ridge, which similar to the Timan in geostructure, on the basis of gold-bearing make it possible for to rate them as positive for preparation a special research.
