Karelian Research Center RAS invites schoolchildren to try themselves as scientists! As part of the career-guidance project “Ticket to the Future” of the National Project “Education”, pupils of grades 6-11 can get acquainted with the work of a chemical analysis laboratory assistant, analytical chemist, geologist-mineralogist, archaeologist, molecular biologist and geneticist.

— Experience from previous years shows that schoolchildren enjoy visiting our laboratories and, together with scientists, examining archaeological artifacts, rock samples, biological objects, etc. They learn firsthand about the tasks that Karelian scientists are working on. This is a great opportunity to stimulate the interest of schoolchildren in science! — remarked Natalya Fokina, KarRC RAS Secretary for Science.

Classes will be held from October 7 through November 23. The number of students attending is limited and pre-registration is required. The registration is done by the Navigator teacher via his/her personal account on the project web portal. The schedule of the tours will be available upon registration.
